Turns out I’m pretty damn resilient.
I don’t have some perfect, neatly packaged account about starting over. I’m rebuilding in real time. Some days I feel hopeful. Other days, the most impressive thing I accomplish is getting through the day. Both are part of this chapter.
I am finding joy again in ordinary things: the stars, the trees, time with family, a walk outside, and the occasional laugh when life gets ridiculous. I want this part of Please Hear Me to be about the life that comes after survival, not just the things I survived.
And if you’re rebuilding, too, I hope there’s room in your life for a softer chapter.
The parts of life I want back
There is more to me than what happened. I want room for curiosity, creativity, work I care about, family, beautiful places, ordinary routines and ridiculous moments that make me laugh. Rebuilding is not a straight line, and I don’t need to wait for a perfect day to enjoy a good one.
Small things count
A walk somewhere green. A page in a notebook. Looking up at the night sky. Making plans that belong to me. This part of the site is for noticing those moments and creating a life that feels like my own again.
